The Ministry of Defense has been looking for some time for an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) or remotely piloted aerial vehicle (RPAS) for which the MQ-9 Reaper of General Atomics, associated with Sener and the Heron TP of Israel Aerospace Industries allied with Indra, have been shortlisted. According to the specialized media Defense Industry Daily, a decision has already been taken and the U.S. Reaper has been chosen to provide four air vehicles and two ground control stations (one fixed and one mobile) to be delivered in a short period of time, possibly within two years.
