The attack in the Old City of Jerusalem was caught on security cameras. The terrorist approached a border post near the Lions Gate and then pulled out a knife and attacked the soldier. Although he was stabbed, the soldier responded by shooting and killing the terrorist: “A quick and decisive response prevented further damage.”
